Hey Fans! First and foremost, we want to thank each and every one of you who came out to our Crossroads show lastnight! We had a BLAST! Thanks to Maya’s Ruin & Ethos as well for putting on stellar performances! HUGE props to Neil Brown for kicking so much ass in playing his first show with us! He rocked the house! Now here our new article, as promised, on MusicPage.com’s BLOG!! Enjoy! VIEW THIS ARTICLE ON THE MUSICPAGE.COM BLOG “Featured Musicpage.com Artist for August” As many of you have already noticed, we redesigned our home page which now features one of our artist members. Each month, our team of talent scouts search for the best and brightest up and coming artists out there and invite them to set up a profile. The artist the scouts feel is the most promising will be the only one featured on our home page for the month. Our inaugural artist, Stelladeora is a female fronted four piece rock-pop act out of New Jersey. There is a short interview of the band listed below. “Guitar driven, epic sounding pop-rock tunes,” is how lead singer and red headed siren Justina Carubia describes her New Jersey based band, Stelladeora. The four foot eleven inch Carubia talks with the same energy that she brings to the stage when she showcases her impressive vocal range.
The four piece act was selected by Musicpage.com for its inaugural international talent scouting search. Each month, Musicpage talent scouts invite the best and brightest artists they can find to join the community. Unknown to the artists at the time, each one is scouted and evaluated to determine who has the potential to be the best of the best. “We had no idea we were event being considered until Vinny (one of Musicpage’s talent scouts) called and told us last week!” said an excited Carubia. That, according to Musicpage.com founder David Codr, is what makes Musicpage.com’s featured artist competition different. “There are tons of artist contests out there,” explains Codr. “Most of them are based on the band getting their fans to vote for them or paying for access. But that’s not how the music industry finds new acts. Its not a lottery or something you can rig. Its based on talent and potential. Those are the factors our scouts look at. And that’s why we don’t tell the artists they are being considered until after its over. Talent and potential are two words that immediately come to mind when listening to Stelladeora’s music. Carubia is an obvious talent with breathy vocals that float on top of the complex and arena ready music her band mates lay down. Avinash Patel handles the Guitars, Neil Brown on Bass and Mike Lyon rounds out the line up by beating the hell out of the Drums with his signature thump. While the band has primarily played in the NY & NJ markets, they are starting to make waves beyond that footprint. Stelladeora’s song Magnetic Poetry has already been featured on the show Hollywood Girl with additional songs to be featured in future episodes. “We have a few new songs in the can, and are working out a few more for our next release,” said Carubia. Last record we were more structured and while we liked the result, this time we are recording in a more casual pace. We want it less rushed and more organic.” Promoters and talent buyers interested in booking the band for club and festival dates are directed to check out their Musicpage profile www.musicpage.com/stelladeora Any artists who would like to be scouted should follow @Musicpagedotcom on Twitter and ask for a scout to get in touch.
