We wanted some new shots with our new guitarist, Steve Hannon! We shot the photos in Colonial Park, in Somerset, NJ. Jonathan Kertis helped us out with these, yet again! We got some great shots, and had even more fun goofing around together all day… Then we had some amazing Buffalo Wild Wings… We hope you enjoy! It was great fun, great drinks, food, good times with friends, and we couldn’t have asked for better weather! It was a BEAUTIFUL day, thank you all times a million! Thank you Jonathan Carr for having us be a part of your day! Also, HUGE Thank You Michael Molinaro at The SandPaper for the amazing and generously flattering review of our performance at Jersey Shorefest two weekends ago. We feel incredibly lucky to have been a part of such an amazing event for such a great cause. Here is his review of us, from the article: “Finally as the sun began its descent, Stelladeora took the stage. They gave off a heavier sound but found ways to make the dark noise beautiful. It was also catchy, with each original song seeming to have at least one memorable line or hook. At times the band sounded similar to Paramore or Evanescence, which frontwoman Justina Carubia later cited as influences. They got there the traditional way: sending their stuff in. And Jersey Shorefest organizers liked what they heard. Though a cover of Bruno Mars “Locked Out of Heaven” went over well, the real energy came during the band’s originals, their bodies getting lost in the light of the sunset like shadow puppets. “When we got called back about this, we were so excited,” Carubia said. “We were kind of skeptical at first because we heard a lot of covers. We didn’t know if people would dig our original stuff, first of all, and second of all, it’s a lot heavier than what we’ve been hearing all day." The band dedicated its song “Goodbye August” to those still “getting back on their feet” after Superstorm Sandy. “It really relates a lot to it. Playing this benefit, it couldn’t be more perfect to just dedicate it to that. It talks about summertime and the different phases of life, coming and going, one year passing. When one door closes, another door opens. So Sandy came and went. We are SUPERRRRRR STOKED, we have ALOT new songs in the works for you guys :-D Super Productive Practice Last night! We can’t WAIT to start recording these for you all! Just a few songs need to be finished being written, then we can start demoing for pre pro, then eventually record for you all. We all agree that the stuff on this next album is a lot darker, we don’t really have poppy tracks like “My Mistake” or “Goodbye August”, but you can expect a lot creepiness, and hopefully a lot orchestral arrangements :-) Don’t fret though, we have not lost our hard rock sound. There are still ALOT of hard hitting drums, rock guitar hooks and grooving bass lines, definitely still headbanging worthy!! We will def sound like the same band, but this album will definitely be INTERESTING… We have definitely grown a lot as a songwriting unit, as most of the first EP (A Dosage From Delusional) was written as an acoustic duo and having formed a full band after those songs were written. SOME of the songs that will be on the new album are older songs revamped, or just older ideas that we finally got around to finishing, and we have a nice batch of brand new ones too which is always exciting. With this new collection of songs, we are expecting to fill some gaps in the concept we have going. There is still quite a lot of work to be done before you hear any new recordings from us, but we’re excited and we feel good about it! More news to come soon about the new material :-D |
